Performance and Capability for Every Mile
The 2026 Kicks is engineered for confident, efficient driving with a smooth-revving 2.0-liter DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder that pairs to an Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT)®. The tuning keeps daily driving relaxed and responsive, while the Kicks’ compact footprint and tight turning diameter help you slip into spots around Green Street or navigate parking decks near State Farm Center. Best-in-class standard 8.4-inch ground clearance gives you extra breathing room over uneven alleys, construction patches, and the occasional curb cut. Choose Front-Wheel Drive for simplicity and efficiency, or opt for available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive to add reassuring traction when conditions turn slick. It all comes together in a crossover that feels light on its feet and sure-footed when you need it.

How the 2026 Nissan Kicks Stands Out
- Ride height: Best-in-class 8.4-inch standard ground clearance
- Standard screen: NissanConnect® 12.3-inch touch-screen on every trim
- Parking confidence: Available Intelligent Around View® Monitor
- Cruise support: Available ProPILOT Assist 1.0 on SR
- Phone-friendly: Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ standard
- Agile footprint: Tight turning diameter for easy downtown maneuvers
- AWD availability: Intelligent All-Wheel Drive offered for added traction
Many competitors in the subcompact class tout city-friendly size, but the Kicks couples that agility with best-in-class standard ground clearance that rivals like the Hyundai Kona and Chevrolet Trax do not match. That extra clearance is reassuring over ruts and steep driveway aprons around Champaign’s neighborhoods. The Kicks also brings a standard 12.3-inch touch-screen to every trim, while some competitors reserve larger displays or wireless smartphone integration for higher trims. The available Intelligent Around View® Monitor is another advantage — a 360-degree view that can make narrow parking around Green Street, Urbana’s side streets, or the Neil Street corridor feel easier than in rivals that limit such tech or do not offer it at all. Add available ProPILOT Assist 1.0 and Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, and the Kicks stands out as a smart, confidence-inspiring match for Champaign-Urbana driving.
